If you are unsure of whether you want to renew your certificate online or request a home pack, please read the information below to choose which option is right for you.

 

An Agrichemical Approved Handler certificate is required under the Hazardous Substance and New Organisms Act (HSNO) when purchasing and using agrichemicals that the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA, formerly ERMA) deem it necessary to be certified to purchase or apply in a wide and dispersive manner.

 

AgChem offers you two easy options for you to renew your certificate:

 

1. ONLINE

 

You can renew your certificate in approximately 30-60 minutes.

 

Cost: $130.00 inc GST

 

When you have paid you will be emailed a link (can take a few minutes) to register and start your Approved Handler Renewal course. Your unique log on and password created when you register  will allow three attempts at the assessment over the next 28 days.

 

2. HOME PACK

 

Request a Home pack either online or by phoning  0800 555 905.

 

Cost: $140.00 inc GST

 

Read the workbook, answer the 10 question scratchy assessment and return to AgChem in the post.

 

PAYMENT

 

Payment options are by credit card and paypal for online and direct debit or cheque for Home Pack.

 

CURRENT CLIENTS

 

If you are already an AgChem client (i.e. you did your original agrichemical training through FarmSafe), we will have a copy of your previous Agrichemical Approved Handler certificate on record. You will require your certificate number and expiry date for the renewal registration. If you have lost your certificate please call us on 0800 555 905 or email us at alicia.gibbs@agchem.co.nz to obtain this information.

 

NEW CLIENTS

 

If you are not an AgChem client and have lost your certificate you will need to contact your previous Training provider or Test Certifier to obtain a copy of your certificate. We require you to scan or take a photo of this certificate and email it to alicia.gibbs@agchem.co.nz to complete the online renewal process.

 

Once we have received your completed application form, a passed assessment and a copy of your previous certificate, AgChem will collate this information for the Test Certifier to audit for compliance before issuing of your renewal certificate.

 

If awarded AgChem will forward your new Apporved Handler Certificate to you by post to your home address. Please allow 10 working days. If your renewal is urgent, contact us on 0800 555 905 for urgent fees schedule.
